UFC Austin Live Results: Beneil Dariush vs Arman Tsarukyan

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to us today, December 2, 2023, for UFC on ESPN 52, going down live from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.

Headlining the UFC Austin event is a bout of lightweight contenders showcasing no. 4 ranked Beneil Dariush and no. 8 ranked Arman Tsarukyan.

Co-headlining is also a lightweight encounter, this one coming between no. 12 ranked Jalin Turner and no. 13 ranked Bobby Green. Green was initially slated to face no. 9 ranked Dan Hooker tonight, and it was to be the first ever co-main non-title bout to be scheduled for five rounds in UFC history.

However, Hooker withdrew from the contest due to an arm injury and was replaced by his most recent opponent, the man that broke that very arm, Jalin Turner, in a three-round affair.

Our feature fight of the evening came in the bantamweight division where former two-time flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo moved up to 135 lbs for the very first time to face no. 8 ranked Rob Font.

All of that plus nine others, including the return of former Strikeforce and UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate, who headlines the preliminary card.

I became a fan of combat sports when I was 12 years old. I was scrolling through the channels and landed upon Versus, where WEC was televised. Urijah Faber fought Jens Pulver for the second time that night. That's the first fight I ever saw, and I was immediately hooked. So eventually, I began covering the sport in the fourth quarter of 2018, and have since started writing about animals as well.
