UFC books Jeremy Stephens vs Calvin Kattar
UFC 249 will now feature another great fight. Today the UFC announced on their social media accounts that Jeremy Stephens will take on Calvin Kattar in a big time featherweight bout.
Stephens (28-17), 33, is a UFC Veteran and this fight will mark his 32nd appearance inside the octagon. Stephens will try to get himself back in the win column as his last victory came in February of 2018. “Lil Heathen” is 0-3,1 NC in his last four outings.
Kattar (20-4), 31, had a chance to get into title contention in his last fight, but he couldn’t get the jump on Zabit Magomedsharipov. Kattar is 4-2 in the UFC.
Both Stephens and Kattar will come into the fight ranked within the top 10 of the division. Currently they are ranked eighth and tenth.
UFC 249 will take place in Brooklyn, NY on April 18. The main event will be a lightweight championship fight between current champ Khabib Nurmagomedov and former interim champion Tony Ferguson. This is the fifth time the UFC has tried to book the Nurmagomedov and Ferguson fight.
