UFC Fight Night 117 results – Okami vs. Saint Preux

UFC Fight Night 117 results from the Saitama Super Arena in Japan

The event will air on Friday night here in the United States, a rarity for the UFC.  The event will air on FXX, another unusual item of note, not the regularly scheduled FS 1.

The main event was to be rematch between former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and Ovince Saint Preux.  Last week Rua withdrew from the fight and former UFC middleweight title contender Yushin Okami stepped up and will be welcome back into the UFC.

Yesterday, Mizuto Hirota missed the 146-pound limit by 4 pounds and had trouble standing. His fight with Charles Rosa was later cancelled and removed from the card. Moving to the main card will be the flyweight bout between Jussier Formiga and Ulka Sasaki.
