Former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson headlined tonights UFC Fight Night 49 live from the BOC Center in Tulsa, Okla. Henderson faced another top 155-pounder in Rafael Dos Anjos in a bout that could determine the number one contender to the winner of Anthony Pettis vs. Gilbert Melendez.
Unfortunately for the former champ he was upset early in the fight and Dos Anjos moved up the lightweight ladder.
The night would not go down without controversy as Lee Mein, father of Jordan Mein who is in the co-main event, was arrested on a charge of sexual battery yesterday and banned from coming to the arena. He was arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a housekeeper at the hotel where the UFC was being hosted. He was released after posting a $2,000 bond and is due in court on Aug. 29 to address the charges.
