The UFC returned to China for the second time this year and was headlined by a middleweight clash between Cung Le and Michael ‘the Count’ Bisping. The event which streamed live here in the U.S. on Fight Pass took place at the Cotai Arena – Venetian Macau, in Macao, China.
42-year old Le returned to the octagon and was bloodied after a punch to the eye by Bisping in a highly entertaining second round. Le began wincing and blood poured from his fight prompting the referee to halt the action while Le was checked out by a ringside physician.
The fight would go into the fourth round where Bisping would stop Le at 0:57 in Round 4. Big win for the Brit.
Tyron Woodley bounced back from his loss to Rory MacDonald with a big TKO win with a very game Dong Hyun Kim at just 1:01 in the first round. Also Zhang Lipeng battered and bloodied his opponent Brandan O’Reilly en route to a unanimous decision victory.
