UFC on Fox 14 – Gustafsson vs Johnson Nearly Sold Out
UFC President Dana White almost always knows what the fans want and Joe Silva, the organization’s number one matchmaker always puts the fights together that the fans want to see so when a number one contender eliminator bout was announced to see who is next in line to face the winner of Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier for the light heavyweight strap it was no surprise that the two men knocking on the door would put butts in seats.
On January 25, 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden, Alexander Gustafsson (#1 contender light heavyweight UFC) and Anthony Johnson (#3 contender light heavyweight UFC) will be the main event of the evening, and Gustafsson will be the “hometown hero” fighting in his native country.
The card is is loaded with entertaining matches (and free on cable television). Phil Davis vs. Ryan Bader, Gegard Mousasi vs. Dan Henderson are also on the card. The event is nearly sold out, which is impressive as the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm has a capacity of 30,000 to 33,000 spectators.
Below shows what is left for purchase, and with seven weeks to go, there is a good chance that this event will sell out. The highest ever attended event at the Tele2 Arena was a performance by Avicci earlier this year that drew in 40,000.
