UFC Hamburg results – UFC Fight Night 134 – Shogun Rua vs. Anthony Smith
UFC Fight Night 134 takes place Sunday at Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany.
The action kicked off July 22 at 10:30 a.m. EST with three bouts streaming live on UFC Fight Pass. Four additional preliminary-card bouts follow on Fox Sports 1 at 12 p.m. ET, with the six-fight main card taking place at 2 p.m. ET, also on Fox Sports 1.
In the main event, former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua met rising contender Anthony ‘Lionheart’ Smith. Smith came in with a huge opportunity in his hands and he delivered, finishing the former champ in just minutes.
Liu Pingyuan of China defeated Damian Stasiak in the opening bout on UFC Fight Pass by way of unanimous decision. It was Pingyuan’s first fight inside the UFC octagon.
Darko Stosic made his UFC debut as well today in Hamburg and he too put on an impressive fight and finished his opponent Jeremy Kimball by way of TKO in the very first round.
Manny Bermudez made quick work of Davey Grant scoring a first round submission win. It would be the last finish on the fight card and it was the final fight on the UFC Fight Pass preliminary portion of the card….. until the main event.
