UFC Nashville medical suspensions: Anthony Pettis among four others to get 180 days

Lengthy medical suspensions following UFC Nashville

The Octagon went to Nashville, Tennesse for what was a great night of fights. In the main event, Anthony Pettis was moving up in weight to take on Stephen Thompson. There, Pettis shocked many and knocked Thompson out in the second round.

Meanwhile, in the co-main event, Curtis Blaydes dominated Justin Willis for a decision win. Also, on the card saw Maycee Barber score a second-round TKO win over JJ Aldrich.

With a card like this, many fighters are destined to get weeks if not months off due to suspension and UFC Nashville was no different. Pettis, Blaydes, Luis Pena, Barber, and Aldrich were the five fighters to potentially get a 180-day suspension.

  • Jesus Pinedo: Suspended 30 days due to hard bout, rest for left leg hematoma; suspended 14 days no contact
  • Jussier Formiga: Mandatory 30-day suspension for left scalp laceration
