UFC Norfolk results: Felicia Spencer brutalizes Zarah Fairn en route to first round TKO

On Saturday night, Feb. 29, 2020, the UFC returns to action for their very first leap year event in the company’s history with UFC on ESPN+ 27.

The event takes place at the Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Va. and will be headlined by a flyweight title fight between Joseph Benavidez and Deiveson Figueiredo, in which only Benavidez can capture UFC gold with a win due to Figueiredo missing weight.

In the co-main event, the women’s featherweight division is on display as Felicia Spencer looks to stake her claim for a title shot against Amanda Nunes when she takes on Zarah Fairn. Spencer made a big splash in her Octagon debut when she submitted Megan Anderson in the first round at UFC Rochester. “Feenom” got a huge opportunity to take on Cris Cyborg at July’s UFC 240 event and, while showing flashes of toughness and grit, was defeated via unanimous decision — the first loss of her pro career.

Fairn will look to bounce back into the win column and pick up her first UFC win on Saturday night. “Infinite” made her Octagon debut at October’s UFC 243 event and was submitted by Megan Anderson in the bout’s opening round. Heading into that fight, the native of France had won her last three fights.

Here is how the women’s featherweight co-main event between Felicia Spencer and Zarah Fairn went down at UFC Norfolk, including round-by-round scoring. For full event results, check them out right here.
