UFC Raleigh weigh-in results - Blaydes vs. Dos Santos

UFC Raleigh results – Blaydes vs. Dos Santos

The Ultimate Fighting Championship heads to the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina for UFC on ESPN+ 24 on Saturday night.

The entire January 25 broadcast will be live on ESPN+ and features six preliminary bouts and six main card bouts.

In the UFC Raleigh main event, Curtis “Razor” Blaydes looked to works his way towards title contender status as he met former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos.  Blaydes did just that…. finishing the former title holder in the second round with strikes.  Look for Blaydes to inch closer to a shot at Miocic.

What an impressive start to a promising UFC career for Herbert Burns, brother of fellow UFC star Gilbert Burns.  Herbert was all over Nate Landwehr from the get-go, nearly submitting him in the opening seconds of the contest.  The two men stood and when Burns threw a knee, that was all she wrote.  Herbert Burns wins his UFC debut by knockout just 2:43 into the fight.

UFC newcomer Tony Gravely put on a hard-fought battle against “The Pikey” Brett Johns, but it was John who would get his hand raised after locking up a third-round rear-naked choke submission.

Former UFC bantamweight title contender Sara McMann returned to the octagon for the first time since giving birth to her son in 2018.  Tonight, a dominant performance over Lina Lansberg put McMann back in the win column.

In the opening bout on the main card, Jamahal Hill remains undefeated with a unanimous decision win over Darko Stosic.

Former Invicta FC strawweight champ Angela Hill dominated Hannah Cifers, cutting her open, and forcing referee Kevin MacDonald to stop the fight in the second frame.  Impressive win for Hilly.

Michael Chiesa is making a statement at 170-pounds.  The former lightweight is finding success at welterweight, taking out former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos by way of unanimous decision.  Chiesa then called out Colby Covington for a fight in July.
