UFC rebooks Ryan Hall vs. Ricardo Lamas for Aug. 29 event
A featherweight clash between Ryan Hall and Ricardo Lamas is being rebooked for UFC’s event on Aug. 29.
First reported by Combate, the bout will take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The pair were originally slated to meet in Oklahoma City in May, but the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The winner of season 22 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Hall is unbeaten inside the octagon with wins over Artem Lobov, Gray Maynard, B.J. Penn and most recently, Darren Elkins in July 2019. Hall is unbeaten in his last eight appearances, suffering his only loss in his professional debut in April 2006.
Lamas is struggling as of late, winning one out of his last four contests. He most recently suffered a first-round TKO loss to Calvin Kattar at UFC 238 in June 2019. His last win is a third-round TKO victory over Elkins at UFC Fight Night 140 in November 2018.
The bout between Hall and Lamas joins a light-heavyweight fight between Anthony Smith and Aleksandar Rakic.
