UFC targeting Mickey Gall vs. Mike Perry for June 27
A welterweight fight between Mickey Gall and Mike Perry is currently in the works for June 27. According to ESPN, who first reported the news, contracts have not yet been signed.
Gall (6-2) is coming off a decision win over Salim Touahri last August. He’s had a tough time finding opponents as off late, as he was set to face Carlos Condit late last year, but Condit pulled out of the fight with an injury. After that, Gall was then booked to fight Alex Oliveira in February, but was canceled. Gall then signed to fight Phil Rowe last month, but Rowe opted to not accept the short notice fight.
Perry (13-6) has lost three of his last four fights to Donald Cerrone, Vicente Luque and Geoff Neal. His only win in that stretch came against Alex Oliveira.
There is no location set for the UFC’s June 27 card, but the event is expected to be held in Las Vegas.
