The UFC and Bellator go head-to-head tomorrow night in Connecticut and it is safe to say it did not happen on accident as the UFC rarely if ever holds a card on a Friday night.

UFC Fight Night 50 at the Foxwoods Resort Casino is headlined by a potential number one contender to the middleweight title bout as Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza and Gegard Mousasi go at it for a second time.  In the first bout Mousasi defeated Souza with an upkick when they met in Dream back in 2008.

The co-main event is a battle of the big boys as Alistair Overeem and Ben Rothwell will tie it up.

Also on the Fox Sports 1 card, Matt Mitrione and Derrick Lewis and Joe Lauzon vs. Michael Chiesa.

Charles Oliveira was the only fighter to come in overweight as he tipped the scales at 150 pounds for his featherweight fight with Nik Lentz.
