UFC Vancouver results – Donald Cerrone vs. Justin Gaethje
UFC on ESPN+ 16, also known as UFC Vancouver, took place Saturday, September 14 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

In the main event, two lightweight fan favorites clashed as Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone took on the hard-hitting Justin Gaethje. The fight delivered in terms of expectations, as both guys remained on their feet throwing heavy leather. Gaethje would stun Cerrone and eventually dropped his opponent, leading to a first-round TKO win — “The Highlight’s” third consecutive opening round finish.
The night’s co-main event paired former UFC light heavyweight title contender Glover Teixeira against the dangerous Nikita Krylov. It was a hard, grueling fight that went to the judges’ scorecards for the first time in Krylov’s career. In the end, two judges scored the bout for Teixeira who wins his third fight in a row.
Todd Duffee returned to action after several years away from the octagon when he met fellow heavyweight Jeff Hughes. The fight started off at a fast, frenetic pace with both guys having their moments. Duffee hurt Hughes a couple of times, but Hughes would land an accidental eye poke, which caused Duffee to see double as he told the referee and the cage side doctor. The fight was waved off at 4:03 of the first round and ended in a no contest.
Also on the card, newcomer Tristan Connelly overcame Michel Pereira’s near six-minute entrance and capoeira display to earn a huge unanimous decision win in front of his home crowd. Connelly took the fight on only five days notice and got an upset win over the biggest favorite on the card.
