UFC Vegas 10 predictions
It will be a history-making night when top strawweight contenders meet in the main event of UFC Vegas 10.
In 2014, Angela ‘Overkill’ Hill (12-8) became the first African American woman to be signed by the UFC in the promotion’s history. Now, six years later, Hill has the opportunity to make history once again under the UFC banner.
When Hill steps into the Octagon with JacksonWink product Michelle Waterson (17-8) in the main event of UFC Vegas 10, she will become the first African American woman ever to headline a UFC card.
With all eyes on Hill, the question is, can she shine in the spotlight and defeat a top contender in Waterson?
The answer is yes, she can, but what will the MMA betting lines say?
Hill, a former champion in Invicta FC, is coming off a loss in her last fight to Claudia Gadelha. The split decision, while controversial, goes down as an L for Hill, but it will motivate her even more against Waterson. Hill feels she won the fight against Gadelha and should honestly be on a four fight win-streak.
Waterson, on the other hand, desperately needs to get back into win column after dropping back-to-back fights to former champions Joanna Jędrzejczyk and Carla Esparza.
While Waterson may have the bigger names on her resume, the momentum is with Hill.
Look for Hill to get on top in the mount position and land vicious ground and pound, propelling her up the strawweight rankings.
Other upsets, Khama Worthy to hand Ottman Azaitar his first loss, and for Andrea Lee to get revenge on Roxanne Modafferi and put them at 1-1 against each other.
