Uly Diaz talks iKON FC 2 fight, busy schedule & relationship with Dana Brooke
Uly Diaz is a busy guy.
On Feb. 19, Diaz defeated Sawyer Depee by way of a second-round knockout BKFC: Knuckle Mania 2.
Then just two weeks later on March 4, he fought again in an MMA bout on Titan FC 74. In that fight, Diaz needed less than two minutes to secure a submission win over Lazaro Perez.
After two fights within two weeks, Diaz has accepted another short notice fight and will be competing on Friday at iKON FC 2 against Brandon Johnson. iKON FC is run by UFC superstar Jorge Masvidal and the fights will be broadcasted on UFC Fight Pass.
Diaz’s fight on Friday will mark his third fight in less than a month. While that is crazy in its own right, Diaz is doing all of this at 41 years old.
Prior to his fight this Friday, Diaz spoke with MyMMANews about his busy schedule and his upcoming fight.
He also spoke about his busy life outside of fighting as he recently started running a food truck as food and nutrition is a huge passion of his and he believes his clean diet plays a major part in success.
Diaz also let everyone on a fun fact. He is currently engaged to Ashley Sebera, who is better known as Dana Brooke, the current 24/7 champion in the WWE.
Just how did the two meet? The answer is a mutual friend. That friend is former UFC title challenger and current Bellator light heavyweight Yoel Romero.
