Jack Hammer Promotions: Fist of Fury 3: Sunday, June 24, 2018.

Jack Hammer Promotion’s Fist of Fury 3 takes place on June 24, 2018, at Mulcahy’s Pub and Grill. Jack Hammer regularly has an event every few months to display top-level amateur and professional Kickboxers and boxers. Promoter, Bobby Campbell continues to put together exciting shows with great young talent from all over Long Island. Campbell is also the only promoter in New York State to bring in a fight team from another country. Three times in the past, he’s brought a Team in from England to battle a Team USA Campbell assembled. This event will include amateur K1, Kickboxing, Thai, and Boxing. Fist of Fury 3 will be sanctioned by ISKA and USA Boxing.

Fist of Fury 3 will be headlined by Tayvonne Thomas and Kevin Membrano. Two fighters that keep a high-paced intensity during their fights. Thomas and Membrano will slug it out for the ISKA New York State Title. The co-main event is a highly anticipated featured fight, Long Island MMA’s Jason “Jamaican Funk” Downer squares up against Unique Fitness’ Champion, Kyle Troyan, in a 172-pound K1 title fight. Twenty fights are slated for Fist of Fury 3. Doors swing open to the public at 4:00 PM EST. and fights start at 5 PM EST. sharp at Mulcahy’s Pub & Concert Hall in Wantagh, New York. Jack Hammer Promotions will be celebrating their tenth year of promoting shows. No other amateur promotion on Long Island has delivered a consistent show for tri-state athletes to compete. Campbell also announced last night on Carroll’s Corner MMA Podcast that he’ll be promoting two MMA shows per year on Long Island. Details about the promotions name, partners and venues are yet to be announced.

Triton Fights 8: Friday, July 13, 2018

Triton Fights 8 takes places just shy of two months after their last event, on Friday, July 13, 2018. Triton Fights is an amateur mixed martial arts promotion on Long Island, which hosts their events at The Space at Westbury, in Westbury, New York. Their fight cards normally range anywhere from eight to fifteen bouts. President of Triton Fights, Nic Canobbio, is a talented graphic designer and creates exceptional media production leading up to and including fight night. He’s accompanied by his partner and fairly newer matchmaker, Chris Macci. Triton Fights 7 was streamed via pay-per-view on CBS Sports Interactive App and replayed on Pluto TV.

Triton Fights 8 will also be streamed live on CBS Sports Interactive App and is scheduled to be headlined by two prolific lightweights, Andrew Stock and Paul Thimote. Stock and Thimote are two explosive fighters that are capable of fighting inside the cage no matter the geography of the bout. Stock (5-0), looks to remain unbeaten after being out of the cage for ten months, capturing his last victory over current Triton Fights lightweight champion, Cody Payne, on another promotion’s fight card in September of 2017. Stock has finished all of his opponents, four by way of submission and one via a first-round TKO. Thimote (3-1), returns to the cage after a 22-month layoff. Thimote’s last fight was when he earned a nine-second head-kick knockout victory over Ryan Castro at KTFO 15.

The remainder of this fight card has yet to be released by Triton Fights. Triton Fights is sanctioned by the ISKA. Cage Wars 37: Saturday, July 14, 2018

Cage Wars 37 returns to Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady in Schenectady, New York. This upstate promotion is the premier MMA event north of Westchester County. Cage Wars President, Tim Rankins inked a three-event deal with the newly constructed casino just outside Albany. Saturday, July 14, Saturday, September 15, and Saturday, November 24 are the dates scheduled for Cage Wars installment’s 37, 38, and 39. Cage Wars is streamed live on Fite TV.

Cage Wars has already released several of their scheduled bouts for July 14. Cage Wars Featherweight Champion Cody Zappone (4-0) takes on his toughest challenger yet, Brice Burns (8-6). In a lightweight title fight, Corey Butts (1-0) is set to battle Paul Parent (6-2). Adam Barrett (5-2) looks to bounce back after falling short in his title defense against Xi Lau, who decided not to defend his Cage Wars bantamweight title, relinquishes his crown, opened an opportunity for Mike Martinez and Barrett to fight for the belt. Martinez (4-1) is also attempting to rebound after suffering his first career defeat on a Long Island promotion’s fight card. Between the two fighters, they are combined for nine wins and only three losses.

Cage Wars is still releasing fights slated for the July 14, fight card. The casino doors are expected to open at 6:30 PM with fights starting at 8 PM. Cage Wars is sanctioned by the United States Muay Thai Association (USMTA). Tune into Fite TV to watch the fights live.

Professional Fighters League 4: Thursday, July 19, 2018

Professional Fighters League 5: Thursday, August 2, 2018

PFL 4 will be taking place on Long Island at the NYCB Live – Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY. PFL is a professional MMA fight league that has revolutionized the way mixed martial arts is being conducted. Creating a regular season and one-loss elimination post-season, the winner of the PFL post-season will walk away with a Million dollar grand prize. 12 fighters in six weight classes, PFL 1 kicked off in the historic Madison Square Gard. PFL 2 takes place tonight at the Chicago Theatre in Chicago, Ill. After PFL 3 takes a trip to the nation’s capital, it returns to New York for a slate of fights at Nassau Coliseum. PFL 5 is also scheduled for Long Island, before heading across the river and down to Atlantic City, NJ.

Each fighter will participate in two regular-season fights, earning points before eight athletes are seeded and enter the post-season tournament. PFL is formerly known as World Series of Fighting before restructuring and creating this new season concept for the fighters. Grappling Industries Manhattan: Saturday, August 18, 2018

Grappling Industries makes its return to the Big Apple in August when they roll their mats out again at Baruch College. Grappling Industries has quickly made their influence in the Jiu-Jitsu community as they stormed on to the international scene. Local gyms from all over the Tri-state area will have competitors sign up to grapple the toughest competition in the area. This day of grappling attracts the top tier names in the sport. It’s conducted in a round-robin format. Having numerous levels of competition, this event is created for everyone looking to participate in a jiu-jitsu tournament.

New York Fight Exchange: Kings of New York – Saturday, September 8, 2018

New York Fight Exchange, aka NYFE, is “reloading” their promotion and bringing you Kings of New York which will take place at the Resorts World Casino NYC. NYFE relocated to a larger venue and will be the first promotion to host cage fights in the Resorts World Casino NYC.

NYFE is promoted by Mike Washington and the event will be sanctioned by the ISKA. Washington organizes fighters from the tri-state area for a fight card that ranges 8-12 bouts.

Kings of NEW YORK is NYFE sixteenth installment of MMA shows. Fights are yet to be announced and tickets can be purchased at www.rwnewyork.com.

Aggressive Combat Championships 19: Saturday, September 22, 2018

Aggressive Combat Championships will host their nineteenth installment on Saturday, September 22, at The Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York. Co-owners, Tom Kilkenny and Eugene Perez, are considered OG’s of MMA on the east coast. Their deep roots with local gyms have allowed them to create outstanding fight cards consistently over 19 shows. Starting at St. Raymond High School in the Bronx, Circa 2013, to now hosting their shows at the 5,000 seat venue (Westchester County Center). Considered the New York’s Largest promotion, ACC delivered well matched up bouts on a fight card that ranges usually from 14- 16 bouts. Kilkenny oversees the promotion’s wheels turning as Perez creates the exciting fan favorite matches.

Still nearly three months away from the event taking place, no matches have been released at the moment for this amateur promotion. Kilkenny hosts the East Coast MMA show on Niteline Radio leading up to the fights, he’ll probably announce the matches then. ACC is known for hosting only a few shows a year, usually, one every three to four months, but the deliver a night full of MMA action.

A few fighters known to have fought for ACC and now competing on a professional level are Jillian DeCoursey, Lindsey Van Zandt, Erin Blanchfield, and Ross Richardson. DeCoursey is currently 2-0 as a professional, winning both bouts under the Invicta FC banner. Van Zandt is 3-0 as a professional winning two fights under the King of the Cage Banner and one fight under the Maverick MMA banner. Richardson is 1-0 as a pro winning via TKO at Bellator 194. Blanchfield, a talented grappler, and winner of EBI is an alumnus of ACC and now fighting in Invicta FC.
