Uriah Hall replaces Brunson at UFC Berlin

Uriah “Prime Time” Hall will face Krzysztof Jotko in Berlin on Saturday, June 20

UFC® has today confirmed that Jamaican-American mixed martial artist, Uriah Hall will take the place of Derek Brunson and face Polish fighter Krzysztof Jotko in Berlin this month. Brunson was forced to withdraw from his bout against Jotko after suffering an injury to his rib during training.

Jotko, from Poland, is coming off a unanimous decision win over Tor Troeng at UFC Fight Night: Nelson vs Story last October in Stockholm, Sweden. Prior to that, Jotko was a part of the UFC’s first ever venture to the German capital at UFC Fight Night: Munoz vs Mousasi in May 2014. The Polish fighter will be looking to continue his win streak as he returns to Berlin this month.

Uriah Hall has racked up impressive wins over Thiago Santos and Chris Leben during his promotional tenure. The 30-year-old is stepping back into the Octagon very quickly after his last bout just two weeks ago at UFC 187 on May 23 in Las Vegas where he suffered a very narrow split decision loss.

UFC® FIGHT NIGHT: JEDRZEJCZYK VS. PENNE is set to take place at the o2 World, Berlin, and will be headlined by a title fight between current women’s strawweight champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk (9-0-0) and the No.3 ranked Jessica Penne (12-3-0). This will be the first UFC title fight ever to take place in Europe, outside of the UK, and the first ever women’s title fight in Europe.

Tickets to UFC® FIGHT NIGHT: JEDRZEJCZYK vs. PENNE are now on sale and are priced at €150, €125, €95, €70, €50, €40 inclusive of VAT and fees. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.o2world-berlin.de/events/detail/ufc-fight-night-berlin-1
