Uriah Hall vs. Andre Muniz booked for Fight Night card in April
Uriah Hall will look to return to the win column as he takes on rising contender, Andre Muniz in April.
According to MMAFighting, Hall and Muniz have been booked to fight one another on April 16 at a Fight Night card likely to take place at the UFC Apex. The main event of the card will see Vicente Luque rematching Belal Muhammad.
Uriah Hall (17-10) is coming off a decision loss to Sean Strickland in the main event of a Fight Night card in July to snap his winning streak. Prior to the setback, he was on a four-fight winning streak with a win over Chris Weidman, a TKO win over Anderson Silva in a main event scrap, a decision victory over Antonio Carlos Jr., and a KO win over Bevon Lewis. Hall is currently ranked ninth at middleweight and also holds notable wins over Gegard Mousasi, Thiago Santos, and Aung La Nsang among countless others.
Andre Muniz (22-4) is a perfect 4-0 in the UFC after having to compete on Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil, and the regular Contender Series to get into the promotion. He made his debut in November where he beat Antonio Arroyo by decision and followed that up nearly a year later with a submission win over Bartosz Fabinski in December of 2020. The 13th-ranked middleweight had a great 2021 to put him on the map as he submitted Jacare Souza in the first round at UFC 262 and earned another first-round submission victory over Eryk Anders at UFC 269.
