Uriah Hall vs. Le’Veon Bell Press Conference
Uriah Hall and Le’Veon Bell come into their upcoming boxing match with some similarities and some differences.
The differences obviously stick out as Hall competed on the UFC’s hit tv show The Ultimate Fighter and then went on to fight in the UFC for nine years where he holds victories of world middleweight champions Anderson Siva, Chris Weidman and Gegard Mousasi.
Meanwhile, Bell was highly success in football where he was one of the top running backs in the country at Michigan State before becoming three-time pro bowler with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Outside of his success with the Steelers, he also went on to play with the New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the course of his nine year career.
As for similarities, both men are new to the sport of boxing and both athletes are expecting to get a win when they square off on the under to Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva on Oct. 29.
Hall admits that things are different since his brief retirement earlier this year. For years he was practicing so many combat disciplines and now he’s been dialed in with one.
As for his approach, he’s loves to compete and he’s been a high level striker for a long time. Therefore, him and his team at Fortis MMA are preparing to go out and dominate the fight.
Bell on the other hand, is also confident because he’s been boxing for years. He started boxing to stay in shape for football and he always felt one day he’d get to compete in the sport. Sure enough he did last month when he knocked out fellow former NFL running back Adrian Peterson.
Outside of being new to the sports while have some years of experience dabbling with it, they both have the same short term goal. Fight Jake Paul.
Both men will have their chances to make a statement for the former YouTuber now turner boxing superstar. As for if Paul is interested that’s still too be determined as he has his hands full on the same night as Hall and Bell.
Prior to the event, MyMMANews and other media outlets were invited to participate in a virtual media day for the Hall and Bell matchup. The media day was put on by Showtime Boxing, Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions and it was hosted by famous combat journalist Ariel Helwani.
