Valor Fights Returns to The International in Knoxville, TN with Valor Fights 30 on Saturday, February 13. The First Event of 2016 will be Headlined by A Lightweight Tilt Between Nick Gehrts and Steven Haag.
Simpsonville, SC. — Valor Fights will return to The International in Knoxville, TN., with their first event of 2016. Valor Fights 30 will feature a lightweight main event between Nick Gherts (4-2) and Steven Haag (1-0). Gherts trains with UFC light heavyweight Ovince St. Preux at KMMA and was the recipient of Valor’s 2015 performance of the year. In the co-main event Corey Browning (2-0) faces Randy Stamey (2-2), both fighters are riding two fight win streaks.
Josh Cate will face Nick Collins and Jason King will battle William Ewers to round out the pro portion of the card. The night’s featured amateur bouts include Freddie Walker defending his Valor Fights bantamweight title against Austin Childers. Their bout will be one of two UMMAF qualifiers. Heavyweights Gavin Walker and Justin Goodin will meet in the second qualifier. Ben Rowland and Tyrone Garner will vie for the vacant Valor heavyweight champion.
