Vanessa Demopolous Leaving Exotic Dancing Behind For DWCS Fight Aug. 11

Interview with Vanessa Demopolous above

Vanessa Demopolous (5-1) discusses her strawweight fight against Cory McKenna at Contender Series on Aug. 11. Vanessa also talked about capturing the LFA strawweight title on July 17 , what type of training camp she’s had for this opportunity and why she’s decided to leave her exotic dancing career behind. Vanessa explained her decision to leave stripping, which is a career she’s been doing along with fighting.

“Being a fighter is so important to me,” Demopoulos said. “I’ve always been a full-time fighter, but I’ve had to kind of split that attention with being an entertainer. In the entertainment industry, that’s something that just came so natural to me. I was raised in this industry, that’s what my parents did. For me walking in there, I’ve accomplished all the things. I’ve done all the competitions as an entertainer. I’ve been to all the clubs, I’ve been to all the cities, I’ve gotten all the invites. I’ve written the books I’ve trained all the girls … I’m done. Like drop the mic. Its time to open up this new chapter and I’m really excited to move forward as a fighter.”
