Verbal bout agreements between Michael Johnson and Thiago Moises for May 13
UFC veteran Michael Johnson has been added to the UFC’s May 13 card.
Johnson (19-15) and Thiago Moises (12-4) have a verbal agreement to fight each other on the Wednesday night card. Combate was first to report the matchup.
Johnson fought at lightweight for the majority of his career, but this will be his second fight at 155-pounds since moving back up from featherweight. In his return to the division, he lost to Stevie Ray by majority decision in October 2019. Prior to that fight, Johnson went 2-2 at featherweight.
Moises earned a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2018. Since joining the UFC roster, Moises has posted a 1-2 record. His only UFC win came against Kurt Holobaugh.
The May 13 event will take place in Jacksonville, Florida at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena with no fans in attendance. The main card is expected to air on ESPN, with the prelims being streamed on ESPN+.
