Vitor Belfort knocks out Holyfield, calls out Jake Paul
Former UFC champion, Vitor Belfort, is cashing in. After being booked to fight Oscar De la Hoya and being rebooked to fight Evander Holyfield, Belfort called out Jake Paul in his post fight interview.
The fight with Belfort and Holyfield was a sad showing. Holyfield, who is 58, was just not athletically capable of keeping up with the younger and the more recently active Belfort who did enough for the referee to call the fight off in round one.
Vitor Belfort vs. Jake Paul? Apparently it’s worth $30 million
After the fight, Vitor Belfort had the mic and he and Triller CEO, Ryan Kavanaugh, both called out Jake Paul saying that there would be $30 million on the line; winner take all. Belfort is hot now after his finish of a boxing legend.
Jake Paul fought for Triller against Ben Askren in his third pro fight and against Nate Robinson in his second. Triller sold over a million in pay per views I both those fights. While the Askren fight was all Paul, Robinson was on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr.
Jake Paul is coming off of a win over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley a few weeks ago. Since then, Paul has expressed interest in fighting a “real boxer” and named Tommy Fury who has the name and the followers that Paul likes.
But with $30 million on the line, Jake Paul, who is not one to be coy about chasing prize fights, might change his tune. Only time will tell if Jake Paul decides to fight Tommy Fury or Vitor Belfort. Either way Paul decides, it’s bound to make oodles and oodles of cash for those involved.
