Walt Harris, Walt Harris suspended

Walt Harris booked to end two-year layoff in July against Josh Parisian

Walt Harris will be making the walk to the Octagon again.

According to MMA reporter Marcel Dorff, Harris is booked to return at a UFC event on Saturday, July 15 against Josh Parisian. The location of the event is not announced while the main event of the card has also not been revealed.

Walt Harris (13-10 and one No Contest) hasn’t fought since June of 2021 when he suffered a first-round TKO loss to Marcin Tybura. Prior to that, he suffered a TKO loss to Alexander Volkov at UFC 254 in October 2020. Harris’ losing skid started in the main event of UFC on ESPN 8 as he suffered a TKO loss to Alistair Overeem in the second round in May of 2020 – in an emotional return for Harris as it was his first fight after his stepdaughter was kidnapped and murdered.

Prior to the losing skid, Harris was on a four-fight unbeaten streak as he KO’d Alexey Oleynik in 12 seconds, TKO’s Serghei Spivac in 50 seconds, had a No Contest against Andrei Arlovski – which was a win for Harris before testing positive for LGD-4033 – and a KO win over Daniel Spitz. Harris has been in the UFC since 2013 and has a record of 6-9 and one No Contest in the UFC.

Josh Parisian (15-6) suffered a decision loss to Jamal Pogues back in February and before that, Parisian picked up a TKO win over Alan Baudot. Parisian has been in the UFC since 2020 and is 2-3 with his other win coming over Roque Martinez while his other two losses came to Parker Porter and Don’Tale Mayes. Parisian fought on TUF and the Contender Series twice – going 2-0 – to earn a UFC contract.

With the addition of Harris vs. Parisian, the July 15 UFC event is as follows:

Walt Harris vs. Josh Parisian
Ashlee Evans-Smith vs. Ailin Perez
Tyson Nam vs. Azat Maksum
