Warrior Wednesday results – Nash vs. Stoddard
Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting (WXC) presents Warrior Wednesday at Crystal Gardens in Southgate, Michigan on Wednesday May 29. The seven-fight event will be broadcast live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 8pm ET.
The main event was a welterweight contest pairing Bobby Nash up against Mark Stoddard. It took all of 63 seconds for Nash to drop and finish Stoddard with strikes.
What an impressive start to the opening fight on UFC Fight Pass as Juancamilo Ronderos completely dominated Eric Ramirez in the first round. Ronderos was rocked early from a superman punch by Ramirez, but quickly bounced back and just applied submission after submission, smothering Ramirez for the near full five-minute round. Ronderos continues his assault in the second frame to pick up the win by submission.
Former WXC lightweight champion Brandon Noble had his hands full with a very game Antoine Blassingame. Noble was on his way to picking up a decision victory when in the third round the bout was temporarily halted after Blassingame handed down a series of illegal elbows to the top/back of the head. The cageside physician made his way into the cage to take a look at Noble and it appeared as if the fight might be stop with less than two minutes of action left. After a point deduction the action continues and Noble manages to hang on even though Blassingame turns up the heat. Noble wins a unanimous decision.
Josh Smith didn’t play any games as he tied up Shawn Mack’s hand and teed off on his opponent’s head. The shots weren’t the most devastating MMA fans have ever seen, but they were unanswered. Smith seemed to know that Mack was in trouble and spared him from any significant damage as the fight was waved off.
In the night’s co-main event, Justin Jaynes made extremely quick work of James Warfield, ending the fight just 125-seconds into the contest.
