Road House

Watch Conor McGregor in the new Road House Remake trailer

Pain don’t hurt! The UFC’s Conor McGregor is making his way into Hollywood. In its newly debuted trailer, Road House, which is a remake from the cult-classic film from 1984, shows McGregor and Jake Gyllenhaal in their roles. The film will come out March 21st on Amazon Prime.

The original Road House starred Patrick Swayze, Kelly Lynch, Sam Elliott, and the Jeff Healy Band. In Amazon’s remake, we are getting the aforementioned McGregor and Gyllenhaal in addition to Billy Magnussen and Lukas Gage.

Conor McGregor will be making his Hollywood debut and is shown extensively as one of the baddies in the movie. He and Gyllenhaal go head-to-head (literally, at times) throughout the trailer.

In the trailer seems to be the UFC scenes that are from sort of a flashback in the movie. Fans will remember Gyllenhaal showing up at the UFC 285 weigh ins to film a scene and then during the intermission at the event. John Anik, and Dana White we’re also involved in filming, which is a nice touch.

Conor McGregor has hinted at a Hollywood move for some time. The super star has a big enough following to actually have pull at the box office, especially among Irish fans.

In 2016, McGregor acted and provided motion capture for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. But Road House will be the first actual movie he’s been in. Coming off the heels of his McGregor Forever documentary, we could be looking at the beginnings of McGregor’s Hollywood career.

Unfortunately, Road House will not be getting a theatrical release, much to the dismay of Gyllenhaal and other film enthusiasts. But the movie will still be available on Prime and subscribers to that will be able to access it included with their subscription.
