Watch: Jalin Turner violently KO’s Bobby Green in UFC Austin co-main event
The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned to us tonight, December 2, 2023, for UFC Austin, going down live from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Jalin Turner
Headlining the event is a lightweight affair between a pair of top contenders in no. 4 ranked Beneil Dariush (22-5-1) and no. 8 ranked Arman Tsarukyan (20-3).
Co-headlining the event was also a lightweight encounter, this one coming between no. 12 ranked Jalin Turner (14-7) and no. 13 ranked Bobby Green (31-15-1). Green was originally slated to face no. 9 ranked Dan Hooker in tonight’s co-main event, and it was to be the first ever co-main non title bout in UFC history to be slated for five rounds.
However, Hooker succumbed to a broken arm in his fight with Turner earlier this year in July, an injury he wouldn’t fully recover from in time for this bout. In turn, Turner ended up getting the slot in a three round encounter.

Official Result: Jalin Turner def. Bobby Green via KO (punches) at 2:49 of round one
Green lands a hard left hand once the bout begins, Turner immediately returning fire. Green gets to work with his leg kicks early, Turner throwing body and head kicks of his own. Each man looks very sharp in the early goings of this fight.
Turner lands a stunning right hand that badly hurts Green midway through the opening round, landing a fast one-two combination immediately following that knocks him down. Turner absolutely unloads on Green from here, and unfortunately this turned into one of the worst stoppages in UFC history.
The referee, Kerry Hatley, allowed this one to go far too long. It was absolutely insane and inexcusable how long this one went. Green was done an entire nine-ten seconds prior to the stoppage, and Turner was unloading on him that entire time.
