Will Martinez – “I had goosebumps”

This past Friday, June 2, Philly erupted as The Harrah’s Raceway and Casino hosted Art Of War 2 for a packed house from wall to wall!

Headlining the event was a bout that has been anticipated for nine months featuring Will Martinez taking on Sharif Jones. This bout lived up to the hype as these warriors exchanged leather as well as solid grappling from bell to bell. Martinez almost closed the night twice via rear naked choke and a triangle choke, but grinded Jones to a split decision whom Martinez saw the contest differently stating “I pretty much dominated every aspect of the fight”.

Relishing on the moment Martinez of hearing the crowd erupt as the Philly legend was welcomed by his enormous hometown crowd, Martinez simply stated “I had goosebumps”.

The fight almost didn’t happen as fights began to break out in the crowd due to the emotions and hostility leading up to this grudge match.  Luckily the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission allowed the fighters to make the trip to the Art of War cage to produce an epic fight for the fans to remember.
