A massive fight is on the horizon – Martyn Ford vs Iranian Hulk
Who?
Martyn Ford is a bodybuilder, actor, and model from the United Kingdom. He is most known for being intimidating in appearance, standing at a height of 6’8″ and weighing 300+ lbs. His nickname is “The Nightmare” and he is also known as the “World’s Scariest Man.”
Sajjad Gharibi is “the Iranian Hulk” or “the Persian Hercules” because of his massive muscle mass. He stands at 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 390 pounds.
While the two behemoths have no professional fighting experience, Ford and Gharibi have been training intensely for the fight, set to take place in London, with an expected crowd of 20,000 people according to a report from The U.S. Sun.
The upcoming boxing event will take place on April 2 at the O2 Arena following months of online banter.
“He’s not an athlete by any stretch of the imagination,” Ford told Muscle and Health Magazine. “I refused to be fooled by his propositions, so initially, I just ignored him, but then things started getting a bit heated.
“I went to a Boxstar event in October last year, and I said to the promoters, ‘Look, I’ve got this d***head who I’d love to scrap’,” Ford continued.
“Let’s face it, ‘The Iranian Hulk’ as he likes to call himself, would never get this kind of exposure otherwise, so he owes that to me.
“He doesn’t respect boxing, he doesn’t respect MMA; so under normal circumstances, no one would want him to represent their brand. But I suggested it because he wanted it and we managed to sign it up.”
Information as to how the fight can be viewed for those who cannot make it to the event has not yet been revealed.
