UFC Rio Rancho in New Mexico sees the long awaited return of Hawaii’s own Yancy Medeiros as he takes on Lando Vannata.
He joins MyMMANews to talk about his lack of fights in the past two years, eating plant based, not street fighting and so much more.
Medeiros has only fought two times since 2018. Those fights resulted in losses to Donald Cerrone and Gregor Gillespie. Medeiros found himself battling injuries during his time off and focusing on trying to return. The Hawaiian says he’s been ready for a few months but was unable to get a fight booked.
So when the UFC came to him and his team with the Vannata matchup, they didn’t hesitate for a second.
