$50,000 performance bonuses added to ONE Championship fight cards

A new incentive will be added to the mix for fighters competing under the ONE Championship fight banner.  Chatri Sityodtong, CEO of the Singapore-based combat sports promotion, will be now be awarding US$50,000 performance bonuses at every event going forward, according to a report from Nicolas Atkin of the South China Morning Post.

“A minimum of one bonus will be given out at each show, with a maximum of five awarded, based on fighters’ performances – and losers can win it too,” the report states.

The report goes on to say that the promotion already handed out its first pair of performance bonuses at December’s ONE: Winter Warriors fight card, with Saygid “Dagi” Guseyn Arslanaliev and Timofey Nastyukhin becoming the first recipients of the bonuses under the new system.
