Aaron Pico has had a great 2020.

The year started out with a knockout win over Daniel Carey at Bellator 238 in January. Then following the pandemic, Pico added two more wins. Over the summer at Bellator 242, Pico submitted Solo Hatley Jr. and then just a few weeks ago at Bellator 252, John de Jesus fell victim to Pico.

Following his Bellator 252 win, Pico spoke to MyMMANews to break down his win.

Pico said that he has never felt better inside the Bellator cage and that his last fight was the first time that he actually started to tie everything together. In that fight against de Jesus, Pico dominated the first round before landing a huge overhand right that put de Jesus out in the second round.

Aside from breaking down his recent victory, Pico also discussed the current Bellator featherweight grand prix. He believes that Patricio “Pitbul” Freire will beat Emmanuel Sanchez in their semifinal matchup, but “Pitbull” will then lose to A.J. McKee in the finals.

Pico and McKee are friends and have grown up together. Following McKee’s semifinal win over Darrion Caldwell, he spoke highly Pico and now Pico returned to the favor.

As for the future, expect to see Pico again very soon. After having a fantastic 2020, Pico plans on rolling with the momentum and wants to fight again in the first half of the new year.

You can hear everything Pico had to say in the video above.
