Alex Morono, UFC Vegas 90

Alex Morono says Raul Rosas Jr. refused to fight Ricky Turcios after doctor’s clearance

Interview with Alex Morono below

Alex Morono (23-9) discusses his welterweight fight against Court McGee (21-12) at UFC Vegas 90 on April 6. Alex about his training camp, wanting to fight into his forty’s and talked about teammate Ricky Turcios not getting to fight Raul Rosas Jr. while the UFC had rescheduled the bout.

“(UFC) was like hey, we can rebook this fight next week next week at 145-pounds. Ricky was down to play ball. After we got our plane tickets the next week to go back to Vegas, they said Rosas couldn’t fight again. Usually if a fighter is sick, they tell the doctor they are down to fight and the doctor tells them no. From what I understood, the doctor said Rosas was good to fight, but he told them no. I know plenty of guys who were sick and just sucked it and made it happen.”
