Alexander Gustafsson undergoes successful shoulder surgery

Former UFC light heavyweight title contender Alexander Gustafsson has posted an update following a successful shoulder surgery earlier today.

‘The Mauler’ posted on Instagram: “UPDATE! Op done ✅ Got my shoulder fixed, feel great, been 3 month with a plate keeping my collarbone in place! Now rehab and slowly getting back in 100% training! Can’t wait to get back to the octagon 🏆”

Gus is riding a two fight win-streak. The Swede TKO’d Glover Teixeira at UFC Fight Night 109 in May and won a unanimous decision over Jan Blachowicz last year.

The two wins came after losses to Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson in 2015.

Gustafsson has gone 3-3 in his last six fights.
