Alexis Davis announces pregnancy, plans to return in 2016
Former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger, Alexis Davis announced today via Instagram that she is pregnant and will not return to the Octagon until late 2016. Davis said her baby with longtime boyfriend and former Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion Flavio Meier is due early next year.
“I planned on spending as much time back home as possible to help with my niece anyways,” Davis wrote. “But we are overjoyed by this news and should be expecting our new arrival early 2016.”
Alexis Davis, 30, is ranked No. 3 among women’s 135-pound contenders in the UFC.

On October 19, 2016, it was announced that she would be making her return at The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale on December 3, 2016 against Sara McMann She lost that fight via arm-triangle submission in the second round.
Davis next faced Cindy Dandois on April 22, 2017, at UFC Fight Night: Swanson vs. Lobov. She won the fight by unanimous decision.
