Andre Petroski now 4-0 in UFC with dominant win at UFC 281

UFC 281: Adesanya vs Pereira goes down tonight at Madison Square Garden in New York. Carla Esparza and Weili Zhang have their rematch in the co-main event. Dustin Porier and Michael Chandler is another highly anticipated clash as this is one of the most stacked cards of the year.

In the opening fight of the prelims, Andre Petroski (8-2) looks to make it 4-0 in the UFC and continue his 100% finish rate. His opponent is Wellington “the Prodigy” Turman (18-5). The Brazilian has tons of experience and will not be an easy out. Petroski has predicted he will be the very first to submit him.

This is how the middleweight bout went down:
Round 1
Turman connects w a right early.  Big head kick blocked by Petroski who comes back with a big right hand. A stand-up battle or the first 2:30 and Petroski shoots and scores the takedown. Turman able to get back up without damage. Petroski switching stances, lands a left. Leg kicks from Turman have scored.  Petroski again on a single leg and scores the take down right before the end of round one

Round 2

Body kick from Petroski lands. Turman looks for the guillotine as Petroski shoots, but Andre beautifully escapes and is on top and works to the back. A brief neck crank attempt. Turman works his way back up and now Turman winds up on top in transition.  Petroski on his feet, fighting the hands. Petroski overpowers Turman and as they come off of the cage tosses him onto the ground and is on top landing ground and pound. Impressive ending of the round landing elbows from side control for Petroski

Round 3

Petroski nice level change and in on a leg and now looking for a choke with a mounted guillotine.  Turman escapes but is still fighting defensively as Petroski dominates with his wrestling. Petroski in complete control as Turman tries to strike back from guard. Up against the cage, Turman works to his feet, but Petroski takes him airborne and slams him down. Round 3 has been a complete smothering

In the post-fight interview, Petroski called out Bo Nickal and said that the former PSU wrestler has turned him down twice.
