Anne Ribeiro is ready to cement her own legacy beginning at XFN 23: ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’

In her first interview, Anne Ribeiro discusses her mixed martial arts debut against Hannah Jackson at XFN 23. The event will take March 16 and will stream live on FloCombat.

Anne discusses being the daughter of longtime UFC, Strikeforce and K-1 veteran Antonio “BigFoot” Silva, being involved in martial arts at a very young age, when she made the decision to compete in the cage, what her goals are on March 16 and beyond, favorite fight her dad was involved in, and much more.

The 19-year-old also dives into some of the hurdles she may have to overcome in regards to being taken seriously as a mixed martial arts competitor.

“Something I’ve noticed is that there will always be people talking in MMA,” Ribeiro said. “Bring around my dad, I’ve noticed people talking about whatever he did. I know there’s going to be supporters, doubters, haters, it’s part of it. I’m ready for it. I don’t really pay a lot of attention to it. I’m just going to do what I do and that’s that.

“Keep an eye out. Don’t sleep on me. I’m coming for everything,” Ribeiro continues. “A lot of people don’t want to take me seriously because of how I look, this and that. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I bring it and you’re going to see that on March 16.

Xtreme Fighting Nation hosts XFN 23 at the War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
