Anthony Pettis full PFL 1 Media Day Press Conference

Anthony Pettis has a new home.

The former UFC lightweight champion signed with the PFL after UFC contract expired. Now on Friday night at PFL 1, Pettis (24-10) will fight Clay Collard (14-6) in the main event.

Pettis did something 2020 that nobody in the PFL did. He fought. The PFL canceled their 2020 season due to the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic. As everyone on the roster was sidelined, Pettis fought three. He opened up the year in January with a loss to Diego Ferreira at UFC 246, but he rebounded by winning back-to-back fights over Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Alex Morono.

While Pettis was active last year, those days are behind him as he’s no longer a UFC fighter. Now Pettis has his eyes set on making a statement in his new promotion.

Pettis spoke to MyMMANews and media outlets on Tuesday during PFL 1 media day. You can hear everything Pettis had to say ahead of PFL debut by watching video above.
