Arman Tsarukyan calls out Bobby Green following No Contest at UFC Vegas 71

Top-ranked UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan called out Bobby Green following the latter’s No Contest at UFC Vegas 71.

Green and his opponent Jared Gordon clashed heads in their UFC Vegas 71 main card bout, which led to Green knocking out Gordon with punches. However, instant replay was used and it was clearly shown that it was a clash of heads that led to the initial knockdown. Since Gordon was deemed unfit to continue in the fight after getting knocked out with strikes, the officials ruled to classify the fight as a No Contest.

The UFC booking a rematch between Green and Gordon makes sense, but if Gordon is medically suspended because he was knocked out, he may need to wait a while before he is able to get back into the Octagon. If that’s the case, then Green may be looking for other opponents, and Tsarukyan is one possibility after the highly-ranked lightweight took to social media to call out “King” following the fights.

Although Green is not ranked in the top 15, he is a highly-respected lightweight veteran who always shows up to fight, win, lose, or draw. Since Tsarukyan is having a difficult time finding an opponent following the recent cancellation of his fight against Renato Moicano, then a fight with Green makes sense from his vantage point, even though it would be Tsarukyan who is the one putting his ranking on the line.

From Green’s perspective, going from fighting the unranked Gordon to the ranked Tsarukyan is surely something that would intrigue him, especially since it gives him an opportunity to make more money. Following the fight against Gordon, Green was visibly upset when speaking to the media since he did not receive his win bonus. By taking a fight with Tsarukyan, he could at least collect another paycheck.

Do you want to see Arman Tsarukyan fight Bobby Green next, and who do you think would win the fight?
