Interview with Askar Askar above – Check it out

Askar Askar (11-1) discusses his bantamweight fight against Justin Wetzell (6-1 at LFA 109 on May 28. Askar also discusses how this fight came together, his offer to be on TUF 29 and why he couldn’t take it. The 26-year-old also explains why he was released from the UFC earlier this year after he was scheduled to face Cody Stamann on short notice.

“The doctor didn’t approve me over some heart stuff. Something was going with my heart murmur that I took out there in Vegas. Said they found some weird findings. We ended up coming back to Chicago to do some more tests to make sure I’m good. After re-testing and the doctor’s approval, everything’s all good with me. It was a hectic week, a heartbreaking week the way it ended. I’ll get another opportunity for sure”
