Babilon MMA 20 Card Filling Out For March 26 Show

Babilon MMA is set for their second show of 2021 with Babilon MMA 20: Sudolski vs Christensen. The event is set to take place Friday, March 26, 2021, in Poland. The organization is Polish-based and held its first event in August 2017. Since then, Babilon MMA has launched several MMA and boxing events. The night’s card will be headlined with a battle for the inaugural light heavyweight championship as the undefeated Lukasz Sudolski battles UFC and ACA veteran Joachim Christensen. Also on the card, is a featherweight battle with the #1 contendership on the line as two undefeated fighters meet in Krzysztof Gutowski and Dawid Smielowski.

Main Event Championship Bout

Lukasz Sudolski

Undefeated as a professional, Lukasz Sudolski (8-0) will be making his seventh appearance inside the Babilon MMA cage. Five of his six bouts have ended with a Sudolski finish. To note his power, Sudolski has two knockouts under 20 seconds. Sudolski trains at the renowned Berserker’s Team in Szczecin, Poland. In addition, he trains alongside some of the best fighters in Poland and Europe like KSW light heavyweight champion Tomasz Narkun, former KSW heavyweight champion Karol Bedorf, and FEN champion Mateusz Rebecki. The heavyweight slugger is one of the best heavyweights outside of the major organizations. With a win, Sudolski could find his way among the elites of MMA.

Joachim Christensen

The UFC and ACA veteran, Joachim Christensen (15-8) will make his debut for Babilon MMA, battling Sudolski for the light heavyweight championship. Just as dangerous a finisher as his counterpart in the main event, Christensen has five KO/TKO finishes along with five submission victories. His last bout came in November 2019 where he won a unanimous decision over Czech submission specialist, Milos Petrasek. The alarming thing for Christensen is two of his last three losses have been early knockouts. In other words, he needs to not allow Sudolski to get off to an early start. His best bet for victory is to drag Sudolski into deep waters and try to finish him on the mat.

Co-Main Event Featherweight Showdown For #1 Contendership

Two of Poland’s top featherweights will clash in the night’s co-main event as Krzysztof Gutowski (8-0) enters the cage across from fellow undefeated foe Dawid Smielowski (7-0). Between the two of them (17 bouts) all of their victories have come by either KO/TKO or submission. In addition, Gutowski is very much an in-and-out fighter with seven of his eight wins coming by a KO/TKO in the first round. His other victory was a second-round TKO. Four of Smielowski’s seven professional wins are first-round knockouts.

Differing a bit from Gutowski, two of Smielowski’s victories have come by submission. Above all, this fight will be on everyone’s radar for the fight of the night as there is no doubt this one will end in fireworks. The winner will also set themself up as the #1 contender for a shot at the champion, Daniel Rutkowski. According to Tapology, Rutkowski is the #3 ranked featherweight in Eastern Europe.
