Bellator 220 results – MacDonald vs. Fitch, Macfarlane vs. Arteaga

Bellator 220 takes place tonight, April 27, at the SAP Center in San Jose, California and will be broadcast live on DAZN.

In the main event, the last bout of the opening round of the welterweight grand prix as champion Rory MacDonald defends against former WSOF title holder and UFC title challenger, Jon Fitch. Fitch is the first fighter in MMA history to have competed for all three belts.  The contest would go all five rounds and eventually be contested as a majority draw. The champion will advance.

In the co-main spot, women’s flyweight champ Ilima-Lei Macfarlane defended against Veta Arteaga. Arteaga would sustain a brutal cut that would result in the defending champion retaining her title.
