On February 9, 2019, Bob “Jits Panda” Buskey and Travis “Beef Train” Streeter will battle inside the cage at Cage Wars 40: Night of Champions, for the USMTA’s ( United States Muay Thai Association) Super-Heavyweight title.
Speaking to Buskey, he expressed a very confident mentality going into this bout. He doesn’t believe his opponent has what it takes to finish him or compete with his Jiu-Jitsu skills.
The “Jits Panda” trains at Team JUCAO Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under head coach Nels Larson. Buskey is coming off an impressive first-round TKO victory against Shane Seccombe at Cage Wars 39. His opponent, “Beef Train” is also coming off an impressive victory at Cage Wars 38, as he went three full rounds with his opponent at super-heavyweight.
The “Jits Panda” and “Beef Train” have been exchanging words in a respectful manner on social media as they hype their fight. These two fighters are drawing a great deal of attention to their bout and creating solid buzz for a highly anticipated matchup.
Cage Wars 40 is a stacked card with nearly all of their champions defending their titles in addition to a few title contenders competing for a strap. Even with this incredibly stacked fight card Tim Rankins (President of Cage Wars) built, I keep getting asked about the Big Men entering the cage and who do I think will leave with the crown.
The event will take place at Rivers Resort and Casino in Schenectady, New York, just outside the States capital. Doors are expected to open at 5:30 PM while fights are starting at 7 PM eastern standard time.
Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.cagewarsny.com or by contacting Bob Buskey. Make sure you get your tickets as this event is expected to be another sold-out show.
