Bobby Green set to make fourth appearance in five months, draws Thiago Moises on October 31st

Bobby Green vs. Thiago Moises set for UFC event on October 31st.

“King” has agreed to take on Brazilian lightweight Thiago Moises at the upcoming UFC Fight Night card in Las Vegas, scheduled for Oct. 31 at UFC APEX. This will mark his fourth appearance in a matter of five months.

Green (27-10-1) is picking up some steam in the lightweight division, when he’s earned consecutive decision wins over Clay Guida, Lando Vannata and Alan Patrick between June and September of 2020. This is his longest winning streak since dated all the back in 2014 when he beat the likes of Jacob Volkmann, James Krause, Pat Healy and Josh Thomson. After getting his hand raised in both June and August of this year, Green picked up a dominant unanimous decision win over Alan Patrick at UFC Vegas 10 to move to 3-0 on the year. The scorecards all read 30-27 in favor of Green, who has been rejuvenated following back-to-back losses before to his recent hot streak.

Green was still critical of his impressive performance afterwards, as he stated:

“I just felt off,” Green said. “I could have did way better.”

Moises (13-4) returns to action after withdrawing from a UFC fight with Jalin Turner due to a positive COVID-19 test result earlier this month. The Brazilian lightweight is coming off his most impressive win, when he handed a second-round submission victory over Michael Johnson in May just gone. The 25-year-old Brazilian earned a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2018 and then made his UFC debut against UFC lightweight staple Beneil Dariush. The American Top Team member has seen mixed results in the Octagon, resulting an overall record of 2-2 in the promotion, but his heel hook victory over respected veteran Michael Johnson in his last outing, was he best win up to date.

With the addition, UFC’s Oct. 31 lineup now shapes up like:

Anderson Silva vs. Uriah Hall

Dustin Jacoby vs. Justin Ledet

Maurice Greene vs. Greg Hardy

Amir Albazi vs. Raulian Paiva

Cortney Casey vs. Priscila Cachoeira

Aaron Phillips vs. Adrian Yanez

Sean Strickland vs. Wellington Turman
