It ended with Royval getting a submission win by a guillotine choke just 48 seconds into the second-round, but it was an action packed five minutes and 48 seconds of fighting which lead to the two men taking home Fight of the Night bonuses.

The fight began with Kara-France dropping Royval only to have Royval drop Kara-France literally seconds later with a spinning elbow. After the two sent each other to the canvas, Royval tried for submission while Kara-France scrambled his way out of danger and made it back to the feet where the two threw bombs at each other.

Royval (11-4), who is now ranked No. 7 in the world according to the official UFC rankings, is now off two an impressive fast start in the world leading promotion for mixed martial arts. He defeated former title challenger Tim Elliot in his UFC debut and now adds Kara France to his 2-0 UFC record.

The former LFA champion now has his eyes set on UFC gold. While Royval is humble and his own worst critique, he know’s where he currently stands in the rankings. He’s hoping for a top tier opponent next and if he wins that one he wants a crack at the UFC flyweight title.

In the video above you can see Royval breaking down his Fight of Night performance round-by-round as he spoke to MyMMANews earlier today from “Fight Island” in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
