BRAVE CF’s Hamza Kooheji ready to return after injury; eyes Al-Silawi’s win record

Bahrain’s own Hamza Kooheji, one of the top Bantamweights in the region, is ready to continue his rise through the ranks at BRAVE Combat Federation, after recovering from a foot injury.

Currently riding a four-fight win streak under the BRAVE CF banner, ‘’The Pride of Bahrain’’ has slowly developed his wrestling-strong game, courtesy of his head coach Eldar Eldarov’s influence.

Eldarov, the current BRAVE CF Super Lightweight world champion, has helped turn Kooheji into one of the hardest wrestlers to face off against, and the Bahraini star has truly developed his ground game as well as his takedowns.

However, in his last fight, against Wales’ Aidan James, Hamza surprised the world with his approach. Instead of looking to take James to the ground, he decided to stand up and use his muay thai, counting on his kicks, knees and elbows to get one of the biggest victories of his career.

Aside from a step up in competition, Hamza is hunting a record to call his own. With seven wins under BRAVE CF, he’s one victory away from becoming the biggest winner in promotional history, alongside Jarrah Al-Silawi, the two-time BRAVE CF Welterweight world champion.

‘’The Jordanian Lion’’ is alone in first place as the only man to hold eight wins at BRAVE CF, but can be caught by Hamza and Middleweight sensation Ikram Aliskerov, who have seven wins each.

After recovering from his injury, Hamza Kooheji is back to full training at KHK MMA and eager to return to competition and extend his winning streak to five.
