Brendan Schaub announces move down to light heavyweight
After dropping his last two bouts at heavyweight at the hands of Andrei Arlovski and Travis Browne, former Ultimate Fighter contestant, Brendan Schaub has announced that he will drop weight and move to the light heavyweight division.
Schaub (10-5) has gone (2-4) in his last six bouts at heavyweight and officially confirmed this week during his ‘Fighter and the Kid’ podcast on FOX Sports that he will make the move down to 205 pounds later this year.
“The plan is 205 and I will fight in 2015 at 205, light heavyweight.”
The cut will indeed take some work as Schaub weighed 244 pounds for his last bout against Browne.
No potential opponents have been named as of yet.Follow MyMMANews.com on Social Media
