This is BROADENED HORIZIN. The MMA podcast show hosted by Drake Riggs where we chat with your favorite Japanese and RIZIN superstars… in English!

It has been a struggle for former PRIDE boss Nobuyuki Sakakibara to pin down a concrete date for his epic return to the Tokyo Dome. However, it looks like things are finally all set to take place on June 13 with RIZIN 28.

The Tokyo Dome event has been rebooked a handful of times now due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Now, ONE Championship finds themselves having to do the same thing with their big first all-women’s event ONE: Empower originally set for May 28.

Joining us first on the show was one of the participants in the ONE atomweight world Grand Prix in which ONE: Empower was centered around. That participant being none other than arguably South Korea’s all-time greatest fighter, the former RIZIN super atomweight champion, Seo Hee Ham.

Following Ham was the tandem of superb submission wizards, Roberto “Satoshi” de Souza and Kleber Koike Erbst. Satoshi currently finds himself on a hot streak awaiting an inevitable title clash with Tofiq Musayev at lightweight. Meanwhile, the former KSW featherweight champ in Koike is set for a huge fight with Mikuru Asakura at RIZIN 28.

RIZIN Ambassador Kurumi Kahn also made an appearance on the show to tell a bit of her story and how she became a part of the RIZIN family.

Last but not least, the legendary grappler Masakazu Imanari came on to discuss his opening round battle with Kenta Takizawa in the 16-man RIZIN Bantamweight Grand Prix. Their fight goes down at RIZIN 29 on June 27 in the Maruzen Intec Arena.

All that and more on BROADENED HORIZIN! Watch the full episode in the video above or you can listen on the Loudmouth MMA Podcast Network wherever you find podcasts.
