Cage Fury Fighting Championships Inks Multi-Fight Deal with Rising Star Sammy Oropeza
Atlantic City, NJ – The Cage Fury Fighting Championship’s (CFFC) roster just got little scarier with the new addition of middleweight star Sammy Oropeza (12-2). The Briarcliff, Pennsylvania native has won eight bouts in a row, finishing each of his opponents. The last five have come within the first round and there appears to be no evidence of him slowing down. “Sammy was easily the most sought-out prospect in the Northeast,” said CFFC CEO, Robert Haydak Jr. “Having him on the CFFC roster is great for our organization and continues to show why we’re recognized as one of the best promotions in the world.”
“I am excited to fight for the CFFC organization,” stated Oropeza. “Many fighters from our area have had great success fighting with their organization and then moving on to the UFC.” Oropeza is referring to the four tri-state area CFFC champions that won CFFC gold in 2014 and proceeded to get the call from the UFC.
“There is no question that Sammy has his eye on the UFC,” continued Haydak. “Though we have a multi-fight deal, I don’t see him sticking around very long if he continues his winning ways. Sammy trains at one of the best gyms in Philadelphia with Team Balance. Phil and Ricardo Migliarese have a track record of producing top prospects here in the Northeast and Sammy is no exception.”
This signing was a collaborative effort from Haydak and Jimmy Binns Jr. of Binns Management. Both saw the potential that Oropeza has and the platform that CFFC can provide. “I am looking forward to working with Rob (Haydak), Mike (Constantino), and Arias (Garcia) to create big opportunities for the clients I represent and taking them to the big leagues through the CFFC promotion,” said Binns. “We are working on some interesting deals and will have some great announcements for 2015. Binns Management is gearing up for a breakout year and signing one of my brightest stars to CFFC is just the beginning for what is ahead.”
Haydak agrees. “Binns Management and our team worked tirelessly to close this deal. Jimmy has built a solid roster of talent and this is just the beginning of great things to come.”
Oropeza is scheduled to make his CFFC debut on May 9th, 2015 at Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.
